It is hoped that the fourth Torbay Week will further enhance the claim for the regatta to join the established European classics such as Cowes and Cork Weeks.
The four sailing clubs of Torbay, (Babbacombe, Brixham, Paignton, and Royal Torbay) have amalgamated their regattas into a single major event offering world class racing for yachts and dinghies.
The regatta starts with RNLI 'Fancy Dress Pursuit Race' hosted by Brixham; continues with a 3-day championship, with six races for each class;
followed by special races including corporate and team events; fun races; followed by the annual passage race to Dartmouth.
